On June 9, 2025, the internationally authoritative architecture and design competition—the A+Awards—announced this year's winners. Facing fierce competition from over a thousand top-tier entries worldwide, only 240 projects ultimately received awards.Tianjin Zhongshuge, by X+Living, emerged triumphantly and captured two Professional Jury Awards:
Commercial Interiors (<25,000 sq ft.) – Jury Winner
Architecture + Brick – Jury Winner
The A+Awards are divided into 124 specialized subcategories. In each subcategory, a distinguished expert jury selects a single project to receive the highest honor, the “Jury Winner,” while a “Popular Choice Winner” is determined by online voting. X+Living's Tianjin Zhongshuge secured the “Jury Winner” distinction in both of its entered categories, underscoring the international professional jury's unanimous recognition of the project's design philosophy and aesthetic realization.
This dual “Jury Winner” achievement not only affirms the project's innovative exploration of traditional brick construction techniques but also acknowledges its groundbreaking creation of a commercial interior space that redefines user experience. It highlights the dual value of Tianjin Zhongshuge in both architectural structure and interior design, as well as its deep integration of material aesthetics and commercial design thinking.
Founded in 2013 and hosted by the renowned global architecture platform Architizer, the A+Awards have grown into one of the world's largest and most influential programs focused on architecture and spatial design. Its mission is to honor the most outstanding buildings, spaces, products, and design firms worldwide. This year's jury comprised over 250 members spanning fashion, publishing, product design, real estate development, technology, and other fields—bringing together authoritative experts and professionals from around the globe. Among this year's A+Awards winners are internationally celebrated firms such as Foster + Partners, Perkins + Will, and Woods Bagot.
